The token, trading as $CUCK on the Solana blockchain, reached a market cap of $1.5m after the release of its game Cuck Tap, on Google Store.
The meme coin – which is half cat and half duck – already had a strong following with hundreds of “cuck-themed” pictures created by its growing list of investors.
Cat Duck spokesman Kevin Ciang says the play-to-earn game Cuck Tap went live in mid-August and a monthly competition giving away prizes to the players at the top of the leaderboard of the play-to-earn game has launched around the same time.
”We have been blown away by the amount of people playing Cuck Tap,” Ciang says. “It’s a simple but fun game and who doesn’t love free money? All they have to do is tap our iconic logo to earn coins. Cuck Tap also gives first-time cryptocurrency users a chance of owning tokens without having to pay a cent.”
Cat Duck was listed on cryptocurrency exchange Azbit last month and can be traded on both the Jupiter and Raydium decentralized exchanges.
While nothing can ever be certain in the cryptocurrency space, Web3 pundits have said the token has a noticeable difference to the thousands of other offerings on the Solana blockchain.
The team behind the project is also looking to list on further exchanges in coming months.
