Prominent leaders of the cryptosphere have taken it upon themselves to promote the space, while clearing the fog that may lead new users away from crypto-adoption. Cardano’s Charles Hoskinson has been one of the most prominent figures in the space, which is also the same reason for the community’s support for Cardano [ADA]. In his latest YouTube livestream, Hoskinson discussed how the company’s roadmap for the future is a perfect fit for crypto’s future.
Hoskinson claimed to have achieved the goal that was foundational to his company’s envisioned ecosystem. Understanding the need for user experience, Hoskinson expressed his intention to create an infrastructure that is similar to Google and Facebook’s ability to provide service for all types of loads on the system.
To attain the same, Cardano is working on building several high-risk high-return pillars, which involves designing proof of stake, devising sidechain interoperability and building a modular programming model for easy upgrades.
Hoskinson also warned developers about being cautious while programming smart contracts. He spoke about how Cardano will allow users to write formal specifications for contracts, designed to be used in tools such as property-based testing and model checking. He added,
“Smart contracts are probably the definition of code that ought to be high assurance cause you’re talking about code that will run a lot in a very hostile setting that’s concise with a well defined business logic behind it.”
Although the entrepreneur admitted to the delay in Cardano’s releases, Hoskinson also hinted at his involvement in developing Ethereum [ETH], saying,
“We know how to build an Ethereum virtual machine from scratch, we’ve done it twice. But we decided to focus on where we’re getting the biggest bang for our buck in terms of innovation.”
Charles Hoskinson concluded by stating that building a “crypto-system” no longer requires the ability to code, as most of the current innovation involves collecting and marrying the best practices, while ensuring interoperability.
