With cryptocurrency making way into the mainstream, several businesses have taken it upon themselves to create the infrastructure required to bridge the gap between traditional and decentralized currency. One of the most prominent entities in this space is Charles Hoskinson’s Cardano [ADA]. In one of his recent YouTube uploads, Hoskinson detailed Cardano’s ongoing and future roadmap for the deploying the Testnet and its subsequent Mainnet integration.
Hoskinson glorified the modularity of Cardano’s in-house wallet, calling it a universal Unspent Transaction Output (UTXO) wallet that can be reprogrammed to integrate with any node such as Bitcoin or Dash, “without reinventing the wheel.” In the same video, Hoskinson mentioned involving the (Telegram) community to carry out various testing and deployments for speeding up the final release of the Cardano Testnet.
Additionally, the Ethereum Co-founder asked his viewers to learn Cardano’s in-house “Plutus and Marlowe” programming languages. Hoskinson also spoke about the company hosting several hackathons to increase the number of developers in the space. He added,
“I’d highly recommend that you play around with meadow and give us some feedback of what you like. There’s really no excuse ‘not’ to start writing DApps and telling us the good, the bad, and the ugly of that particular experience.”
Interestingly enough, the Cardano ecosystem had a reason to cheer after the Foundation announced itself to be a member of the Fintech Association of Hong Kong. The tweet read,
“Cardano Foundation is proud to announce that they have joined the Fintech Association of Hong Kong as its newest member. FTAHK is an independent, non-profit association representing Hong Kong’s local and global #FinTech community.”
Several ADA supporters within the crypto community have reacted positively to the development.
