BTC.com, Changelly, Ginco Inc., MIR COIN, GOZO, Pithagoras, Creative 3D Web, etc. are the popular exhibitors at the event.
The event was full of notable speakers such as Bobby Lee, cofounder of BTCC (China’s first Bitcoin exchange); Mike Butcher, editor-at-large at TechCrunch; Jeremy Gardner, founder of Blockchain Education Network; Johanna Maska, CEO of Global Situation Room and longstanding aide to former American President Barack Obama; Anatoly Radchenko, co-founder of United Traders; and other more renowned people mentioned on BlockShow’s official website.
Small Excerpts of the DebatesA number of industry experts debated the future potential of cryptocurrencies, along with the requirement of regulatory involvement in the crypto markets in the opening panel titled “Wall Street vs Crypto.” They also discussed the role of financial institutions and governments in creating opportunities to enable innovations using blockchain technology.
The panel consisted of five experts from cryptocurrency and finance industries, including Rich Gupta, CEO of Regulated Transactions at Titan DX; Jason Bloomberg, founder and president of Intellyx and Forbes contributor; and Alex Mashinsky, founder and CEO of Celsius Network.
Gupta believes that “mergence of Wall Street and crypto is happening right before us.” On the other hand, Bloomberg emphasized that the reason Wall Street should stay away from cryptocurrency is its “permissionless” nature. Meanwhile, Mashinsky emphasized the importance of traditional institutions to have first-hand experience in dealing with cryptocurrencies and to know how to interact with this new technology. According to him, without these, there will be no progress at all.
CEO of BlockShow Addy Crezee said that the goal of this event is to show and establish the fact “that the community, technology and everything that’s happening presently is getting serious.”
