Block.One Official Talks About EOS’s Future and The Impacts Of The Blockchain Technology

Recently, the Head of Relations at Block.one, Serg Metelin, has talked about the future of the EOS blockchain and of the blockchain technology as a whole. Block.one is generally credited as the group that created the EOS blockchain, containing the software and infrastructure on top of which the chain is built.

According to Metelin, the blockchain is still mysterious to society at large at the moment and it has plenty of untapped potential. He also affirmed that, unlike the world wide web, which serves as the base of the current internet, the blockchain technology is focused on the security as its top priority, while the world wide web always had information transfer as its main goal.

During his interview, Metelin has also talked about how the blockchain could be used to improve the transparency of information that is generally not so transparent. Also, he talked about how the technology could effectively be used as a way to cut losses and to create a system that could be considerably more decentralized.

Current Blockchain Technology Is More Efficient, Block.One Official Affirms

Metelin has also defended the blockchain technology against critics. He stated that the technology was not slow or obtuse like many people affirm from time to time. In fact, most of the newer blockchain technology is very fast, according to him.

Also, the Block.one official stated that the latest versions have more seamless ways to making transitions and that while the Ethereum blockchain, which is older, can only make 15 transactions per second, the EOSIO blockchain can conduct transactions at 3700 TPS (transactions per second).

He affirms the community is attuning many aspects of the blockchain technology to create a better overall experience to the users, one that can offer higher speed, a better user experience and more accessibility for the new users.

Metelin has also said that the blockchain and smart contracts can be used by many existing businesses and communications models at the moment, increasing their transparency and their uses and also as a way to secure important information.

He commented that when the blockchain is finally being used in the financial market, it will slowly get closer to the masses, which will lead to a greater adoption of the technology. According to him, the real world impacts of a decentralized system can be made clear then and the potential of the blockchain will be fully unlocked, which will bring us benefits.

EOS has recently topped the ranking of the China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology as the best cryptocurrency, followed by Ethereum.
