BitTorrent Opens TRON, BNB And Bitcoin Payments For Pro & Ads Free Products

BitTorrent will now be accepting different virtual currencies for Pro and Ads Free products. BitTorrent is the world’s most popular peer-to-peer (P2P) file-sharing platform. Both, BitTorrent and uTorrent, will allow customers to pay using Bitcoin (BTC), Tron (TRX) or Binance Coin (BNB). The information was released in a blog post by the Tron Foundation on November 27.

In order to make that possible, the company worked side by side with CoinPayments.net, a payment gateway that helps companies integrate virtual currencies into their businesses.

There are several companies in the market already accepting virtual currencies as a means of payment. Nevertheless, BitTorrent has a user base of 100 million clients.

On the matter, Justin Sun, Founder of TRON and the CEO of BitTorrent, commented:

“BitTorrent joins a growing list of online companies whose products and services accept TR as payment. With BitTorrent’s over 100 million users, the move helps increase the use of TRX in online marketplaces while giving consumers more options to unlock value from BitTorrent’s premium products.”

By using virtual currencies, users will be able to purchase BitTorrent and uTorrent products such as Ads Free and Pro for Windows. The Pro version includes an anti-virus screening among other features such as file converting and playability in HD.

TRON is one of the largest and most valuable blockchain projects in the market. The company is working in order to accelerate the decentralization of the internet using blockchain technology and dApps.

At the time of writing this article, Tron is the 12th largest virtual currency in terms of market capitalization with $764 million dollars. Each TRX coin is being sold for $0.0116 dollars. Bitcoin is the largest virtual currency in the market and Binance Coin is a top 20 cryptocurrency that is used on the Binance exchange.
