Crypto markets have been laid low by a hawkish stance on interest rate cuts by the FOMC.
Bitcoin exchange traded products (ETPs) have had a good month in March. BTC assets under management had grown exponentially in this one-month period to touch a new all-time high. This is propelled forward by the inflows that have categorized these ETPs in the last month.
Digital-asset investment firm CoinShares has launched an Ethereum based exchange-traded product (ETP). This will be the second ETP to be released by the firm following the launch of its Bitcoin ETP in January.
The purchases suggest institutional investors’ appetite for crypto exposure in the bull market goes far beyond bitcoin, or even ether.
It joins several other ETP providers on the exchange, including ETC Group, with its own physically backed bitcoin product.
Only one major ETF was trading at volumes slightly higher than the BTCetc ETP in the first 11 days of January, says the FT.
