Roger Ver, Bitcoin Cash [BCH] proponent and CEO of Bitcoin.com, re-opened the BTC vs BCH, arguing that BCH was significantly better. He claimed that BCH was superior to BTC owing to the fact that Japan had more BCH-accepting shops than BTC-accepting ones.
Japan has seen a wave of cryptocurrency adoption after various institutions and commercials outlets started accepting cryptocurrencies as a payment method. Japan Railways Group [JR group] also reported that the transport operator was looking to add cryptocurrency payments as an option for its users.
Bitcoin Cash [BCH] has been the most standout cryptocurrency in the country. At press time, Japan was the third densest region for Bitcoin Cash [BCH].
According to bitcoin.com, a Tokyo-based luxury lounge Mezzo started accepting BCH in the Tokyo District. The owner announced that three of its clubs would be accepting BCH as payment from April.
However, Roger Ver did not loosen up on the BTC vs BCH debacle. Roger Ver believed that Bitcoin was supposed to replace transactional currency, but others believed Bitcoin should be a store of value.
Hence, since the hard fork of 2018, Roger Ver has been critical of Bitcoin. He criticized Bitcoin’s Lightning Network, bashing the 2nd layer solution of the original Bitcoin core.
He had stated that,
“Our Lightning Network, will, in theory, work better…the current Lightning Network is absolutely a horrible user experience, we all know this.”
Ver had also claimed that in terms of credibility and functionality, BCH was superior to BTC.
