The IBSI announced that the grant will be used to finance the faculty, student research and other activities on the Berkeley Campus. Some other faculties will be included such as the Law School and the School of Information.
Those research projects that are at an advanced stage will be receiving $25,000 dollars. Students will also be receiving between $5,000 and $15,000 dollars. The research proposals will also have to be focused on Ripple’s XRP and related areas.
If there are projects that show that they need more funding, it might be possible for the IBSI to release more funds. Only qualified students and working groups will be able to receive more funds.
