A new Washington-DC based trade association, American Blockchain and Cryptocurrency Association (ABCA), has officially opened its doors to membership.

ABCA is a recently formed 501(c)(6) trade association, whose mission is to advance a vision for how distributed ledger technologies and cross-border innovations, including cryptocurrencies and blockchain technologies, can lead to sounder markets.

The ABCA recently announced the launch of its member portal.

Membership is open to a broad universe of stakeholders, from individuals and coin investors, enthusiasts and entrepreneurs, to exchanges and professional services firms.

ABCA will provide a voice for individuals and corporations who are driving the blockchain evolution. To that end, ABCA engages with its stakeholder community through outreach, education, research and advocacy.

By joining the association, members will have access to: E-newsletters and blogs, including Market & Industry Analysis updates; free and discounted participation in webcasts and webinars with ABCA and industry experts. They will also get discounted access to programs, roundtables and other industry educational and networking events.

Access to the ABCA industry jobs forum, to advertise and connect with professional opportunities in the growing industry, and discounted access to ABCA training and certification programs also come with an ABCA membership.

The individual membership subscription has been set at $19.99 per month or $199 for an annual membership, with a tiered membership structure for corporate membership and strategic partnerships.

Speaking at the official launch, Howard Greenberg, first President of the ABCA said the ABCA Board of Directors is excited to launch formally and bring this new portal to its membership.

Howard says ABCA provides direct access into the Washington, DC marketplace for individuals and organizations who are investing in, and betting on the growth of these innovative technologies. Through the ABCA expanding network of experts and its proprietary analysis of the technology and the evolving regulatory environment, the ABCA educates and empowers its members, providing a voice to shape the policy discussions underway. And as a not-for-profit, it will be rolling out a broad menu of programming to encourage the networking and entrepreneurial creativity which makes the cryptocurrency and blockchain spaces such exciting places to be today.
