Chinese hardware maker Xiaomi is gunning for a new record in fast charging with its upcoming 100W charger. That’ll trump Huawei‘s 55W charger released with its foldable phone, the Mate X, which is arguably the fastest we’ve heard of for a phone thus far.
The company’s chairman, Lin Bin, shared a video on social network Weibo showing a phone with a 4,000 mAh battery charging from 0 to 50 percent in just 7 minutes, and from 50 to 100 percent in additional 10 minutes. That’s twice as fast as Oppo’s SuperVOOC charging – currently the quickest standard available on the market…
