About SIM-Swapping

Unfortunately, SIM-swapping is a crime that is getting more common every day. Criminals find ways to clone the phone number of the victims and then use all sorts of ways to enter their accounts and steal their money or sensitive data.

People without two-factor authentication are the ones who are more prone to be affected by this kind of crime, which sometimes is made together with the hacking of email accounts.

Phone companies are often sued by their clients because of SIM-swapping cases as the users are often angry that they let the criminals get a hold of the information.

These cases are getting more common, especially in the United States, which is living a SIM-swapping epidemic, mostly due to the poor standards that the telecom companies have.
