Tron Ready to Present an Update on Project Atlas on September 28
One of the most exciting blockchain networks in the market will be releasing information about its Project Atlas on September 28. This project will allow Tron to create a new way of content distribution connecting the BitTorrent peer-to-peer network with TRON and its blockchain.
In this way, the company wants to start a new economy without borders in which users are able to exchange value for computer resources around the globe. BitTorrent was working on different blockchain systems that would have allowed it process data faster and reach new users.
About the Project Atlas, Justin Sun, founder of the Tron Foundation, explained that the intention is to provide faster downloads, no mining, and may other features for users to have a better experience.
On the matter, he commented:
“Project Atlas is the foundation of a new way of content distribution. To start, the product will feature faster downloads, more seeds, no mining, and backward compatibility. It is adapted to the world we live in today: mobile, connected and transparent. We aim to eventually empower all content creators and their communities by eliminating the middleman and enabling content creators to distribute directly to users.”
Users on BitTorrent would have the possibility to give tokens to uploaders if they give faster download speeds. Additionally, BitTorrent peers will also offer tokens to incentivize the community and run clients using faster networks.
Users will also be earning tokens just by seeding files when the download is complete. These users will be incentivized to seed files longer and dedicate more bandwidth and storage. In this way, files will last longer on the network and more users would have the change to download them.
Older users will continue to enjoy the platform as they were doing until now. The new features would not create problems for older users. Earning and spending tokens is not mandatory.
The main intention behind this is to make BitTorrent faster and easier to use than never before. Every single file will be allowed to be shared using BitTorrent, since it is protocol agnostic.
This would clearly help Tron scale all over the world. These new features would be available in the coming months.
“Project Atlas is an evolution of torrent technology, not a revolution. With TRON’s blockchain expertise, our growing development team of seven people expects to ship the first features in the coming months.”
BitTorrent and Project Atlas will be open to developers to continue improving them. Tron will be providing all the information about this project and how BitTorrent will be improved.
Tron is one of the most important blockchain networks in the market featuring thousands of developers from all over the world. Currently, Tron has 300 employees in offices located in Beijing, San Francisco, and Singapore.
