Canada-based personal light electric vehicle (LEV), Daymak Inc., is set to launch the first electric vehicle that can mine cryptocurrencies – when parked. The company announced the car would use solar energy to mine a host of cryptocurrencies, including BTC and DOGE.

Announced Tuesday, Daymak’s three-wheeled EV, Spiritus, will include the Daymak Nebula, the firm’s crypto infrastructure (still awaiting a patent), and a Daymak wallet to store mined cryptocurrencies. According to the post, the Spiritus model is set to launch in 2023, aiming to become the fastest three-wheeled vehicle in the world.

Aldo Baiocchi, President of Daymak, stated the company is looking forward to futuristic uses of cryptocurrency enhancing their customers’ life and “putting them ahead of the curve.”

“We envision a future where your highway tolls, your parking, and your drive-thru order will be paid directly on the fly with crypto.”

“Your online bills and your banking can be handled through the same software platform paid in crypto.”

While the two models of the Spiritus – deluxe and ultimate – differ close to ten times in price, each vehicle will be a node on Bitcoin’s blockchain. The Daymak Nebula will be inserted in every Daymak vehicle, including the Nebula Miner and Nebula Wallet. The latest upgrades aim to make more environmental-friendly crypto miner nodes and vehicles and make a profit for the owner.

“And whereas most vehicles are depreciating while they sit in your garage, the Nebula Miner will make you money while your Spiritus is parked. The potential applications are limitless.”

Daymak also opened up the pre-orders for the Spiritus vehicles, accepting multiple cryptocurrencies as payment, including Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), Dogecoin (DOGE), and Cardano (ADA). The electric vehicle company has already raised over $350 million in pre-orders in less than two months.

Baiocchi also believes the world is gradually adopting cryptocurrencies and sets sights to an even brighter future in crypto payments hence the recent developments.
