In its latest ‘January 2019 Roundup‘ newsletter, Stellar has updated the crypto community about its developments during the month.
It included Stellar ecosystem news, developer updates, upcoming events, project updates, and new projects.
Ecosystem NewsStellar noted that ‘AnchorUSD’ had added a:
“USD off-ramp with SEP-0006 support. This is the first totally seamless integration that allows any Stellar application to provide USD deposit and withdrawal directly from their users’ bank accounts.”
Developers who want to integrate AnchorUSD into their applications can reach out to AnchorUSD or use integration tools that will be released soon.
‘SatoshiPay’ has launched for Stellar three new full validators and a multi-signature wallet. These will bring updated validator Docker images, additional horizon API instances and a full history catch-up script for Stellar Core.
It also mentioned ‘A Stellar Day,’ which is a community-led initiative to promote the project through social media and Keybase. Stellar did a shout out to its to community members who helped make the project happen.
Also during the month, Grayscale added Lumens support to its platform, and Alpha Point announced their support for Lumens (XLM) on its platform. This means over 100 exchanges powered by Alpha Point will now support XLM for deposits, withdrawals, trading, and custody.
New Hires and Developer UpdatesThe Stellar Development Foundation added three new hires including Graydon Hoare as a senior developer, Tomer Weller as a software engineer and Boris Reznikov as director of partnerships.
Regarding developer updates, Stellar Core 10.1.0 was released with stability improvements, and Horizon 0.15.4 was released with small improvements and fixes.
The testnet reset has been rescheduled for February 27.
The Kelp trade bot version 1.3.0 was also released, and Developers can now use Stellar Burrito for basic operations.
The clusters program is growing, and Stellar stated that there are two upcoming cluster group events. One will be held on January 29 in Munich, Germany and the other in Cape Town, South Africa on March 6-8.
Project Updates and New ProjectsFactR is introducing blockchain tech to freight and logistics and has also been listed on the IBM Marketplace.
Swych has launched its new gifting and shopping platform based on the Stellar blockchain.
MouseBelt & Rest Labs have entered the Stellar ecosystem, helping early-stage companies grow and are exploring collaborations in Stellar’s ecosystem.
Stellar Lumens (XLM) is now available on news exchanges around the world including Biccos and GOPAX Indonesia.
GOPAX has fiat-to-crypto support for IDR/XLM trading.
Other important names in the Stellar ecosystem include Stellarport.io, BlockEq, and Interstellar.exchnage.
Even the Reddit community is exploring adding Photons or subreddit governnance points to SDEX.
