Canada-based gaming studio Skymarch Entertainment has joined hands with Enjin, a blockchain ecosystem developer. Skymarch Entertainment unveiled this news on November 5 via a tweet, noting that this collaboration would facilitate the integration of Ethereum-based Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs) into three of the project’s games. These are Zeal, Crystals of Fate, and The Galaxy of Lemuria.

Reportedly, Skymarch Entertainment’s core team boasts over 30 years of experience in the gaming industry, having worked with multiple leading firms, including Ubisoft, Riot Games, Disney, and Electronic Arts.

Skymarch Entertainment’s tweet read,

“Skymarch Entertainment is proud to announce our official partnership with ENJIN as a studio. We are excited to bring our games to the ENJIN platform for players around the world to enjoy.”

The organization went on to note that this partnership would see it take part in Enjin Multiverse, a gaming collective that features shared NFTs. In so doing, Skymarch aims to let players seamlessly use items across its three upcoming games.

Working to deliver innovative and immersive games

Reportedly, Skymarch Entertainment’s three upcoming titles are in their late stages of development. Per Jonathon McKay, CEO at Skymarch Entertainment, the firm is actively investing in the future of games to produce innovative, immersive, quality game experiences for its players to enjoy. Each of the games has unique features that will appeal to the different tastes of players in the gaming market.

For example, Crystals of Fate is a cross-platform Collectible Card Game (CCG) that will be available on mobile and desktop. The game allegedly boasts a revolutionary real-time combat system, which is set to enhance its gaming experience. Meanwhile, the Galaxy of Lemuria is an intergalactic MMO survival RPG that features a trading card-based system and a massive procedurally-created galaxy.

Zeal, on the other hand, is a much-awaited RPG that features the action of World Warcraft’s PvP Arenas. The title also integrates a variety of game modes ranging from PVE and Battle Royale to 1v1, 2v2, 3v3, 5v5, up to 10v10.

Gearing up for a blockchain-based gaming ecosystem

According to McKay, the blockchain will underpin future development and innovation in the gaming space. The firm’s CEO made this prediction via a November 5 notice on its website, saying,

“We see blockchain technology at the forefront of what is to become mainstream in the future. Enjin’s direction toward creating a more scalable, user-friendly blockchain ecosystem solidified our company’s decision to join forces and empower our players with true ownership over their assets.”

This news comes as more gaming projects continue teaming up with Enjin. Reportedly, four other gaming companies, including Axana Games, and Barehand LLC, joined hands with Enjin over the past month.
