Хакеры могли использовать уязвимости в течение нескольких лет

В рамках исследований эксперты в сфере кибербезопасности изучили такие программы, как LibVNC, UltraVNC, TightVNC1.X и TurboVNC. В каждом из цифровых продуктов была найдена какая-либо уязвимость. При этом присутствовали они в них продолжительное время. Специалисты связались с разработчиками софта и все, кроме TightVNC, получили патчи, устраняющие опасные бреши.

В основном системы VNC используют для получения контроля над удаленным компьютером. Поскольку технология является кроссплатформенной необязательно иметь на двух ПК-устройствах одинаковые операционные системы. Из-за этого программы удаленного доступа часто используются на объектах промышленной автоматизации.
