Shiba Inu SHIB/USD is an Ethereum-based altcoin that features the hunting dog known as the Shiba Inu as the mascot behind the project.

This cryptocurrency is considered to be the main competitor to the Dogecoin DOGE/USD cryptocurrency and has a community of supporters known as the SHIBArmy.

The cryptocurrency was originally created in August 2020 and since then has seen numerous developments. The cryptocurrency even got listed on Robinhood.

The Shibarium hype and XcelTrip addition as a catalyst for growth

On May 25, 2022, XcelTrip, the platform that allows users to travel with crypto, announced that Shiba Inu (SHIB) officially got listed. This means that users can now book at over 2.3 million hotels and over 450 airlines through the usage of the SHIB cryptocurrency.

Furthermore, the Shib development team expanded as an iPhone game developer known as Sherri Cuono joined the Shiba Inu metaverse development team. 

Cuono has worked on a series of projects that range from entertainment to healthcare and even enterprise and has joined the Shiba Inu Metaverse team as an advisor. 

There is a lot of hype surrounding the Shibarium as well. Even though there is no official release date set yet, the lead developer known as Shytoshi Kusama, has stated that it will launch soon.

Furthermore, the Unification upgrade is set to occur next month.

This Unification FUND mainnet upgrade is scheduled to go live on June 8, 2022. 

This could also potentially be the point in time when Shibarium releases; however, there is nothing officially said yet.

On May 26, 2022, Shiba Inu (SHIB) had a value of $0.00001096.

Shiba Inu (SHIB) had its all-time high point of value on October 28, 2021, when the token reached a value of $0.00008616.

Shiba Inu (SHIB) had its highest point on April 12 at $0.00002817, while its lowest point was on April 30 at $0.00002157. Here we can see that the token decreased in value by $0.0000066 or 23%.

However, with the development of Shibarium, the addition of a former iPhone developer to the development team, and the XcelTrip listing, we can expect the token to increase in value to $0.00003 by the end of June 2022.
