Ripple continues to expand its products and services to many other countries and companies all over the world. During the last Swell Conference, Ripple announced the public release of xRapid. This product has been created in order to allow companies to process cross-border transactions faster, cheaper and in a more transparent way.
Now, a new company known as Viamericas will be joining the list of the companies operating using this network created by Ripple. Viamericas is a money transmitter that offers international money transfers, bill payment and check processing. At the moment, there are thousands of agent locations in the United States and around the world, specifically, in 29 countries.
In this way, Ripple is able to show that there are several companies ready to work with the products it launches to the market.
On the matter, Ripple announced:
“A Game Change Global payment providers, such as Viamericas, Cuallix, IDT, MercuryFX and others are using xRapid to significantly lower their liquidity costs and send real-time payments – an industry first.”
Additionally, Viamericas’ CEO, Paul Dwyer, said that they believe that digital assets such as XRP will play an important role in the future of cross-border payments. Although there are no more comments on the matter, it is very positive for Ripple and XRP that more companies show their interest in Ripple’s products.
XRP is one of the most valuable cryptocurrencies in the market. At the time of writing, XRP has a market capitalization of $18.64 billion dollars and each token can be bought for over $0.46 dollars.
During September, XRP experienced an important price increase since Ripple was going to release to the market the xRapid product and announce some important partnerships at the Swell event. Since that moment, XRP is operating stable between $0.45 and $0.55 dollars.
