The cryptocurrency security and blockchain technology expert, Ledger, has just launched an app for both iOS and Android smartphones. The app, which lets users access their crypto balances, is available to the Ledger Nano S and Ledger Blue users.
OperationPresently, the app works in consultation mode and operates with the Ledger Live desktop version by scanning a LiveQR code from the said desktop version. Also, it lets users check the value of their crypto assets on the go.
The Ledger Live app, the company noted, will only be operable on iOS 9+ and Android Lollipop 5 and higher.
Other PlansThe company also announced that it intends to let Ledger Nano S users on the Android platform, run transactions through the use of an OTG cable. Ledger is currently putting a lot of effort into making sure the Ledger Live mobile app has the same features that are currently available on the desktop version.
Also, the Ledger Nano X will have easy Bluetooth connectivity to both smartphone operating systems. This is a much easier and effective method of connecting without the need to use a cable.
