Monero Network Updates

2022-8-16 01:10

Recently, Monero development team has made adjustments to the blockchain through a network upgrade. The date of the event has been known since the end of April, and it was successfully held on block 2 688 888.

The update improves the multi-signature mechanism, facilitating data exchange and synchronisation between wallets.

Security issues were also raised. The developers have updated the Bulleproof algorithm – the technology accountable for the network’s anonymity.

The Bulletproofs+ algorithm ensures the encryption of the exact transfer amounts in transactions. The transfer sender and recipient data are the only ones getting into public access.

Monero recalls that users need to upgrade their nodes and wallets for successful work.
