Litecoin unveils a New Logo and Embraces it After Support From the Community

Litecoin (LTC), one of the most popular digital assets in the market has now a new fresh look with a new logo. The Litecoin Foundation unveiled a new logo with the intention to refine its mission and vision about the future of the digital asset and the whole cryptocurrency market.

The new logo has a new design standard and it represents the new ambitions of the Litecoin project.

The decision to finally start embracing this logo was taken by the community after the successful UFC232 event in which the Litecoin Foundation decided to display a new blue and alternative logo. This replaces the old and traditional grey and flat Litecoin logo.

Robbie Coleman, Founder Tokens Agency, commented on the matter:

“As Litecoin users and holders we wanted to apply our creative agency’s skillset to LTC in some way. Designing for the decentralized coin – and all the complexity that came with it – also seemed like an awesome challenge, one few creative agency’s were taking on.”

The Litecoin community had the possibility to give feedback and criticize the logo decision on the official Litecoin subreddit. Most of the comments are very positive and show support to the decision of changing the logo for a newer one.

The logo is currently free to use without any restrictions in order to keep with the open source and decentralized tradition of the Litecoin network. Those companies and firms that are currently displaying the older logo can update it.

The Token Agency, an Australian-based design firm that focuses on distributed ledger technology (DLT) and cryptocurrencies partnered with the Litecoin foundation to be in charge of the logo change.

After the decision to change the logo, Litecoin has experienced an important growth in the market. Indeed, in the last 24 hours, Litecoin is the fastest growing digital asset. It has registered an increase of 2.78% in the last 24 hours. Litecoin has a market capitalization of $1.98 billion and has surpassed Stellar Lumens (XLM) that fell 0.42% in the last 24 hours and it has a market cap of $1.95 million.

Each LTC can be purchased for $32.86 according to CoinMarketCap.
