KlayCity, a P2E virtual world, raised $3.75 million in a seed round funding led by Animoca Brands and Krust. Other participants in the round included A&T Capital, OKX Blockdream Ventures, Naver Z, FriendsGames, Genesis Block Ventures, StableNode, PlayDapp, Kyros Ventures, ROK Capital, HG Ventures, Kwon Do, Eric Zoo from Exnetwork Capital, and others, PR News Wire reported.

Creating the future of the virtual world

KlayCity is creating the future of the mirrored virtual world and giving crypto fans all over the world access to its LandFi metaverse, thereby extending its presence to the global market.

Exciting futuristic gameplay

KlayCity is a LandFi metaverse, which unfolds on a mirrored (replicated) Earth in the year 2080. Players can use ORB tokens, LAY tokens, and NFTs to take part in different activities. Leveling, exploring, and scavenging are among them. The metaverse runs on the Klaytn (KLAY/USD) Network.

KlayCity also has wide-ranging plans to develop an IP business in various areas based on its original premise.

New land minted by burning ORB and LAY tokens

Players create land NFTs by dividing the Earth into Districts, which are structured according to population centers that exist in real life. Owners of these NFTs can stake them to create LAY tokens every month. They can mint new ones by burning the in-game tokens.

684th District fetched 120K KLAY on OpenSea

On March 11 on OpenSea, District #684 fetched the highest price of all districts in KlayCity – 120,000 KLAY, equivalent to $130,800 at the current rate. The initial minting price of this district was 500 KLAY, making this a 240-fold gain and reflecting great interest in the project from the industry and the investors.

On February 10, KlayCity concluded its Land NFT presale. Each NFT was valued at 500 KLAY.

In the virtual world of KlayCity, owners of district NFTs can explore, govern, and earn while enjoying the gaming experience at the same time. KlayCity aims to bring NFTs and LandFi into a single ecosystem. They will reveal new features in the first half of this year.
