Tron’s founder Justin Sun has been known to be one man who likes stokes the fires especially in regard to TRX and other cryptos. In the past, he has been quoted throwing jabs at other crypto teams like the Ethereum Foundation. He has also gone above and beyond to keep the TRX talk going online.

This time around, Justin Sun is throwing some sarcasm at Vitalik Buterin and ETH. In a tweet, Justin intimated that if Tron finally succeeds, the company will be happy to erect a nice monument for Vitalik Buterin and his ETH in remembrance of his massive contribution to the crypto community. Reading between the lines, you can help but notice some tinge of sarcasm in Justin’s remarks, especially given that he has always argued that Tron will one day overtake Ethereum.

On the same thread, influential cryptoanalysts and enthusiast Misha Lederman was quick to throw in his input, quoting Vitalik Buterin as saying that he would be really disappointed in humanity if Tron ever beats Ethereum. He then went ahead to offer his own opinion on the matter, saying that the real question is when, not if, Tron will eventually surpass Ethereum.

Justin’s tweet seems to have attracted quite some attention from across the crypto world, with various online characters coming out to give a piece of their mind. Some thought that Sun’s tweet was somewhat in bad taste and that he should instead concentrate on building his Tron empire and not attacking other people.

However, there are those that agreed with him. To these, Tron is on its way to great glory and Ethereum will eventually bow to it. On the other hand, some users didn’t buy the story. They argued that Tron is still too far back away to even think of ever overtaking Ethereum. In fact, someone said that Tron can’t surpass Ethereum even in 10 years’ time.

Vitalik is yet to respond to Justin Sun’s tweet, and it would be interesting to what turn the debate takes from here.
