Justin Sun Reveals July 7th As TRON 4.0 Launch; TronZ Privacy, TPOS Consensus, and TICP Protocol

Justin Sun has now disclosed that the much anticipated TRON 4.0 will be rolled out on July 7th. He highlighted some new unique features that the Tronic are to expect from the update.

Justin Sun, Tron CEO has revealed the possible launch date of TRON’s awaited update dubbed TRON 4.0. In a Twitter post, Sun announced that TRON 4.0 will be unveiled on July 7th.

The CEO explained to the Tron Community (Tronics) of what new features to expect as when the update would be rolled out. There were four key improvements. Their smart contract privacy protocol, TRONZ, would now be supported by Virtual Machine (VM) environment. He remarked that this was currently the most secure and energy-efficient protocol available.

Their TPOS Dual-layer Consensus mechanism had also received major upgrades as they were able to slash the block confirmation time from 57 to 3 seconds. This was achieved by the integration of DPoS and PBFT advantages which has had a hand in bolstering Mainnet’s security.

Perhaps the most exceptional feature was their new TICP cross-chain protocol. This and the three public chains that are set to be availed on the release date would enhance communication between the developers globally on their mainnet.

He also disclosed that they had successfully completed the financial institution and enterprise Blockchain solution. This would go a long way in trimming the time and costs of deploying dApps on their mainnet.

The update would be free for any developer leveraging the Tron Network. The Tron Dev team were however keen to cite in a bid to uphold compliance with international standards, the TRX transactions would no longer be anonymized.

The TRX currently trading at $0.018461 has recorded a trading volume of $1,855,700,770 in the past 24 hours as per this writing. Currently, sitting at the 16th spot with a market capitalization of $1,231,843,851 and 66,682,072,191 TRX in circulation currently.

Tron 2nd anniversary

Notably, the Tron community just celebrated its second anniversary at the close of last month. Their mainnet launched May 2018 has remarkably morphed into a colossal ecosystem now supporting over 750 dApps and so far surpassed 6 million users.
