The idea behind Bitcoin was published by a person named Satoshi Nakamoto. Now an account on a platform under this name has posted a mysterious message.
An account on P2P Foundation posts as Satoshi NakamotoOne of the biggest secrets of the crypto currency Bitcoin is that nobody knows who is behind the pseudonym Satoshi Nakamoto. A few years ago, the white paper on the crypto currency was published under this name. Again and again people claim to be the true Satoshi Nakamoto. So far, however, it is not clear who really had the idea for Bitcoin.
Since February 2009 the anonymous developer of Bitcoin has had a user account at the P2P-Foundation forum. Among other things, he discussed the idea behind Bitcoin with crypto fans there. For the last time he was active on the platform in 2009. This changed a few days ago.
First he added a new friend. A little later he posted “nour” as status. What does that mean? There has been a lot of speculation on the Internet. Is Nakamoto back?
What’s behind nour?As expected, the rumour mill is boiling. Some people think that the word is the phonetic spelling for the Arabic word light. According to the English Urban Dictionary, nour can be defined as follows:
“The most loving, sensitive and caring person you will ever meet. Very smart, funny and sensitive. A little lost, always looking for what she wants in life and how she can achieve it.”
Does Nakamoto possibly talk about him/herself? Then he doesn’t exactly shine with modesty. On the other hand, it could also be that his user account has been hacked.
It is likely that the post is related to an alleged hack in 2014. The email used on the P2P forums was [email protected], which was allegedly compromised in that hack.
Then a hacker might have written this text. In 2014 the account posted another message: “I am not Dorian Nakamoto”. At the time, most people thought it was a hacker attack on the account, not a message from Nakamoto himself. Is that the case this time? Who can say for sure…
