Clients of the Singapore-based digital currency trading platform Huobi will now have an easier time tracking Huobi 10 Index (HB10 Index).In a recent press release, financial monitoring service Bloomberg Terminal announced that it will now list the exchange’s cryptocurrency index, also known as the HB10 Index.
Easier Tracking of Huobi’s Top 10 CryptocurrenciesThe announcement was made by Herbert Sim, the exchange’s global operations director, during an interview in the European Quant Trading Summit June 2018 event in London. Founded in 2013, Huobi is a digital currency trading platform and exchange based in Singapore. Currently, the exchange is considered the world’s third largest in terms of market volume.
Huobi launched the HB10 Index last month, which uses the weighted average method in tracking the exchange’s top 10 traded cryptocurrencies. The HB10 Index is used to measure the performance of the entire crypto market. As an investment, it also helps to minimize risk by shielding investors from the sometimes erratic price fluctuations of a single token.

The HB10 Index is composed of HT at 33.9 percent, BTC 23.7 percent, EOS 13.8 percent, ETH 10.7 percent, BCH 4.6 percent, XRP 3.9 percent, ETC 3.0 percent, LTC 2.6 percent, IOST 2.2 percent and Dash 1.4 percent.
Aside from tracking the HB10 Index, the trading data of nine other cryptocurrencies traded on Huobi will also be available on the Bloomberg Terminal. These include Bitcoin, Zcash, Litecoin, EOS, Bitcoin Cash, Ethereum, Dash, Ethereum Classic and XRP.
