Helium (HNT) hasn’t stopped making its holders happy despite being an old coin and considering the recent happenings in the crypto market.

The cryptocurrency has performed well in the last 30 days and year, experiencing a powerful 70% surge in the last month and a staggering 440% increase over the past year. 

Nobody knows how this happened. HNT is an old coin, and most crypto traders thought it was dead. But all of a sudden it’s the best-performing coin. These substantial gains have placed HNT at the forefront of altcoin price movements, outperforming many top contenders in the crypto market.

Helium’s price growth in the past year has been remarkable. The token saw a 440% increase, with its price moving from just over $1 to $8.31. 

This impressive surge is evident in its recent performance, where HNT experienced a 67.43% rise over the past 30 days alone. Starting from a low of around $4.56 in early August 2024, the price quickly climbed to $8.31.

The growth has been driven by increased market activity and a 12.16% rise in daily trading volume. Helium’s market cap also grew to $1.33 billion, a 2.18% increase within a short period.

This growth is impressive, it shows that investors are getting excited about HNT. However, it is gradually cementing its position as a key player in the decentralized market.

Moreso, looking at how HNT has performed in the last month or year, major altcoins like ADA and XRP have underperformed. In the past year, ADA went up by 25% and gained 4.56% in the last month.

The other coin, XRP,  rose by 3.76% in the past month and saw a 7.07% increase over the last year. Looking at these numbers, big-name altcoins like Cardano (ADA) and Ripple (XRP) have only made modest gains, while Helium has taken off in the market.
