It has just come to light that Gemini, a US-based cryptocurrency exchange owned by the Winklevoss twins, has hired Esther Babb, a former Goldman Sachs executive, as their Director of Business Development.

According to Babb’s LinkedIn bio, her illustrious Wall Street career started nearly two decades back with Goldman Sachs, where she worked with the firm’s data intelligence team. Following her stint there, Babb then went on to join Citadel, a Chicago based Hedge Fund as a Senior Business Analyst. During her time at Citadel, she managed various teams as well as worked on a number of proprietary tech initiatives.

Earlier last year, Babb rejoined Goldman as a VP but after working there for a year, she decided to quit once again and get on board with Gemini.

In the recent past, Gemini has been on a signing spree, with the firm bringing in two other notable personnel from the world of corporate finance including Sydney Brie Schaub, formerly general counsel and corporate secretary for fashion startup Rent The Runway, and Jeanine Hightower-Sellitto, a former NASDAQ honcho.
