Which Are the Most Active Projects Ranked in Github?
According to data provided by the independent research firm DPRating, released the June Github ranking in which it analyzes different projects in the famous network. In the latest release, it was able to analyze 218 projects on the famous software development platform.
In order to write the review, the company used different criteria for the ranking. We can mention the following points:
Popularity of the Library: defined as the mean number of the Watch, Star and fork. Number of Contributors: It is related to the number of contributors that have commited code in the last month. Release Frequency: This takes into account the version release frequency of Bitcoin and Ethereum, 14.31 days for a new release, as a reference value and divided the number of average days spent for a new release by that number to get a release frequency score. Type of Commit: This is a categorical ranking that ranges from ‘Continuously, steadily developing new features’ with the intention to fix bugs and undefined commits. The most important projects presented by this company are EOS, Loom Network (Loom), Cardano (ADA), Tron (TRX), and finally, Lisk (LSK).
EOS surprised the market after having 635 commits in June scoring a ‘Very High’ popularity ranking.
But the company decided to provide a warning about some specific projects that are now available in the market:
“Alert: In this month’s audit, we have found that BYTECOIN, ICON, WAX, haven’t had any code uploaded in nearly a month. Investors should be aware of the risk.”
At the same time, Bitcoin and Ethereum received the eighth and seventh position respectively. It is also important to mark that it is possible to compare the development activity and market capitalization, and currencies like Particl (PART) and Status (SNT) show large differentials.
