Decentralized finance (DeFi) protocol Compound has announced its latest addition to the blockchain network called Gateway on testnet. The new blockchain is built on a Substrate blockchain, and it would enable users to access cross-chain interest rates and collateralized markets.

Polkadot developer Parity Technologies has released the second version of its blockchain building kit Substrate 2.0, including 70 composable modules.
Parity, the blockchain infrastructure company, today announced that its Substrate Builders Program has “kicked off in full swing” with 17 total teams already joining the program. The Builders Program identifies, supports and mentors select teams that are building Substrate-based blockchains.
Substrate, Parity’s platform for building blockchains, has now introduced a new resource for developers using their framework. The Substrate Builders Program will provide systematic access to support from Parity and intends to build a more interactive community.
As part of the transition, Parity has agreed to build certain business-logic features on Polymesh’s base layer.
