Coinbase Announces a New Addition to Their Team – Tim Wagner, the Vice President of Engineering
In a blog post on Coinbase’s official website, the company let their consumers know that they will now be bringing in a new Vice President of Engineering.
His name is Tim Wagner, and on the website, Brian Armstrong (CEO) writes:
“Engineering is central to our mission of creating an open financial system for the world. It is core to our strategy to deliver the most trusted and easiest to use cryptocurrency products and services. We have built an amazing engineering team at a Coinbase, one which Tim will now lead and expand.”

The company is keeping their figurative eyes ahead of them right now, because they are experiencing an impressive amount of growth. They have been working on infrastructure that will help them expand the platform to reach a wider range of assets for their consumers to trade with.
New vice president Wagner came from Amazon Web Services (AWS). While with AWS, he was the GM over AWS Lambda, Amazon API Gateway, and AWS Serverless App Repository. Before that, he worked at Microsoft, and he graduated from both Princeton and the University of California-Berkeley.
All of these experiences have helped him to establish values and experience that will help him be the best person for the job. As Coinbase puts it, “We couldn’t be more excited to have him on board.”
