BABYDOGE gets listed on OKEx with a brief price increase

Earlier this year, Dogecoin’s price skyrocketed to brand new levels, pulling with it the coin’s market cap, and exposing it to countless new users. Upon discovering the coin and seeing how popular a memecoin can be, many started buying it and trading it. However, there were also those who decided to create similar cryptocurrencies, thus sparking a whole new trend of cryptos called memecoins.

One such memecoin, called Baby Doge Coin (BABYDOGE) just got listed on OKEx a few days ago, where it now sits available on the platform’s spot trading market.

BABYDOGE deposits became available soon after the listing, while spot trading for BABYDOGE/USDT started on August 10th, at 10 am UTC.

What is BABYDOGE all about?

As mentioned, Baby Doge Coin is a decentralized cryptocurrency from the new family of memecoins. It was built on Binance Smart Chain, and each transaction is charged a 10% transaction fee. However, despite the fact that it was originally from BSC, it transferred cross-chain to OEC, where it will have 0 transaction fee.

In other words, if users opt to use its OEC version, they don’t have to pay any extra transaction fees in order to have their payment settled.

The coin’s goal was to improve upon Dogecoin by further improving transaction speeds, and adding greater deflationary attributes that are meant to reward the users who choose to buy it. Users get to receive a small portion of every transaction that takes place, so holding BABYDOGE in one’s wallet actually allows users to make a profit while they are waiting for the coin’s price to grow and allow them to earn from trading, as well.

Following the listing on OKEx, the coin saw a small price surge that took it from $0.000000001904 to $0.000000002414, which is, arguably, quite a small price improvement. However, the coin — whose price has been slowly going down over the last week — nullified this increase in a matter of hours, and continued to spiral down, currently sitting at $0.000000001636.
