APEX Rolls Out Public Wallet
Though Ethereum remains the most popular platform for the creation of apps on the blockchain, other companies continue to come forward with their own ways for consumers to create applications using this developing technology. As the blockchain community continues to grow and public interest in the technology becomes more mainstream, the demand for a way to effectively meet developer needs in every stage of the development process on the blockchain can only increase.
APEX Network is one company gunning for a spot on the developer’s shortlist of platforms upon which to create dApps. The pull of the company is primarily going to come from the security stressed by their platform. APEX applications are notorious for their intense security and privacy measures. Additionally, the platform is revered for having a heavily interactive consumer experience, as well as increased data ownership on the blockchain.
Now, the company seems to be diving into another major aspect of the cryptocurrency market: the creation of their own secure wallet. Because it operates using APEX tech on the APEX blockchain, it should be understood that this wallet is likely to come with many of the same security features—and much of the privacy specs that the original tech is so revered for. It will be run off of the APEX network, which should be launching in its Testnet stage of development later this year.
Wallet FeaturesTo those well-acquainted with APEX, most of the features on which developers pride themselves will come as little surprise. Wallet management is possible on multiple wallets from a single device, assets can be sent, received, and transferred using QR-codes, and users can import data from an existing wallet to their new APEX wallet.
On the more technical, security-oriented side, there are a few features to the APEX wallet that potential consumers should keep an eye out for. The wallet offers full transaction records to the owner of a wallet, stores personal data on the secure cloud, and requires mnemonic or keystore information for wallet recovery.
The hope is that the APEX wallet will help to stimulate growth within the newly-created APEX ecosystem, which is once again built on the core technology, which is the APEX blockchain. Other features in the initial release of the wallet include personal attributes and individual tags, real-world rewards upon discovering APEX-partnered brands, and unified data permissions and settings for maximum security.
Further DevelopmentClearly, the APEX wallet is still in the initial phases of its release, though the above features will be available in the first generation of the wallet, the next release will add significantly more features for users to enjoy and add to their functionality.
Specifically, these features will include support for ERC20, enriched data management on the DHT cloud, rewards all over the APEX ecosystem, as well as storage of behaviorally-derived data on the secure cloud.
The cryptocurrency community is abuzz in anticipation of the release of this first APEX wallet, and will eagerly await the release and subsequent updates as more information becomes available.
