Having started his career as a child actor, Brock Pierce, has now turned into a crypto savant whose advice is taken seriously by altcoin enthusiasts across the globe.

Recently, while talking with BreakerMag’s Mark Yam, Pierce opened up about the various phases of his adventurous life including how he got into the crazy world of cryptocurrency and blockchain. In regards to his acting career, Pierce said that while the profession definitely had its fair share of “thrills”, it also came with a lot of rejections.

“Handling rejection is a valuable skill that will serve you well throughout the rest of your life.”

Many of our readers may be aware that Pierce has been a leading proponent for establishing a ‘cryptocurrency paradise’ in the island nation of Puerto Rico. As per the millionaire, he believes that having spent a lot of time in the country as a child, there is a lot of financial potential to be sourced from that region of the world.

Pierce then also went on to say that:

“The main problem that Puerto Rico suffers from is a brain drain. The people with the intellectual capital, the human capital, the spiritual capital, the financial capital, the people with the means are the ones that are generally first to leave. That is far more devastating over the long term than any hurricane. So the main areas of focus for us right now are in figuring out how to support the students, figuring out how to create opportunities for these amazing engineers and amazing people that historically would be leaving. We can bring the angel investors, we can bring the mentors, we can bring some startups to create job opportunities, we can bring the capital to take Puerto Rican entrepreneurs and let them actually start building things.”

When discussing the recent issue of activists coming to disrupt his crypto-meetings, Pierce said that the individuals were paid actors who were backed by lobby groups carrying their own agenda.

“What you’ve seen in the media were paid actors from Chicago and New York.”

Additionally, Pierce is also being realistic about his Puerto Rican plans since he knows that a lot of locals in the region are averse to any outsiders coming into their nation to do business with them. This is in part because Puerto Rico has a long history (around 500 years) of different groups coming to their island and then not leaving for various monetary reasons.

Due to its economic incentives, Pierce is of the belief that there will always be some individuals who will look to dupe unsuspecting investors. However, he did say that once you skim below the superficialities of the matter, the potential that crypto has to offer becomes all too apparent for anyone to ignore.

Rounding out his conversation with BreakerMag, Pierce told the publication that he likes to think of himself as an “eternal optimist”. In this regard, he signed off by saying,

“The universe loves drama, and if all of this were a movie, you’d want to take it right to the brink. And then the day is saved at the very end. Of course, the universe wouldn’t just make it smooth and simple. It’s gonna have suspense.”
