Cryptocurrency Wallet Ledger Wins EY’s ‘Startup of the Year’ and ‘Born Global’ Awards

Ledger CEO Win Award for Startup with International Potential

Eric Larcheveque, the co-founder and CEO of Ledger, recently won a French award for the startup with a model with eh greatest potential internationally.

Ernst & Young’s (EY) 26th Entrepreneur of the Year awards ceremony took place in France this year. The regional prize this year was for “Startup of the Year.” Larcheveque won this year’s award, and the “Born Global” Award due to the international potential of Ledger.

Recently, Ledger announced that it had achieved sales of 1.3 million units. Further, since its founding in 2015, it has formed an amalgamation of companies, including Chronicon-RadioceRos and BTChip. The platform’s first funding round raised $6 million USD and it also raised an additional $75 million in 2017. Now, the platform has 150 employees on three continents and it ha over s generated over $50 million in sales revenue. The platform also tweeted Larcheveque’s award, stating:

Larcheveque recently discussed Ledger’s combination of security and affordability. The platform has several competitors in the market, including TREZOR and KeepKey. Concerning EY’s award, Ledger should be proud of itself. The award is not easy to acquire – a jury of seven meets and confers to select the winner and the ceremony then takes place.
