ChromaWay, a startup based out of Sweden, announced earlier today that its initial capital funding phase had been a success. During the fundraiser the firm was able to successfully procure an impressive sum of $15 million. It is now being reported that this money will now be utilized for the development of ‘Chromapolis’, a relational blockchain platform that will be designed to deploy decentralized apps in an easy and hassle-free manner.

As per an official statement released by the firm a couple of days back, Chromapolis will aim to serve as ChromaWay’s answer to the scalability problems that currently exist with Ethereum. It is also worth mentioning at this point that the blockchain platform has been built atop Postchain, a relational blockchain ecosystem.

As the name seems to suggest, a relational blockchain is a “fourth gen” blockchain system that provides clients with a highly flexible environment that can be scaled up as and when required. To be even more specific, we can see that Postchain is a combination of blockchain and relational databases that allows developers with the power to create better dApps without compromising on security and other key aspects important to decentralization. .
